Mother's Day 2015

Happy Mother's Day! Adam had a game at 1:30 pm. Then dinner at Newport Grill with Oma and Papa...sounds familiar...I think we did the same thing last year.

The boys made me a box! They had been secretive all week and going to Lowe's and getting tools and paint so I wasn't quite sure what was going on. I knew the tools and paint were not for Scott...

Adam cut the wood and he and Zach put the box together. They both painted it...in their favorite colors.

Forget Snow Day -- It's a Wind Day.

A storm through Wichita early Thursday morning.

When I say "blew," I'm talking about 90 mile per hour winds that uprooted trees, bent street signs, downed power lines and destroyed airplane hangers. This wind knocked out power for more than 40,000 residents and closed schools and businesses.

Maize and Wichita closed school because several building didn't have power. So instead of a snow day, it was a wind day.

We didn't get any damage at our house. A street over at our neighborhood park, this happened:
