In Kansas, a 14 year old can get a Learner's permit if they pass a written test, allowing you to drive with another adult in the car.
Because the Division of Motor Vehicles hours are not convenient for anyone (and we are gone every weekend with soccer games), we allowed him to skip a few classes at school to take the test.
He doesn't like driving the 2015 van...would much rather drive our 1998 Camry.
