Green Screen

Dad is celebrating 50 years at KAKE-TV this year. I think he might be their longest-employed employee. To honor this achievement he is being roasted by a local non-profit organization.

As the family, one of the things we were asked to do is put together a video. Sounds easy enough, except the person who always puts together our videos can’t know about this video.

So we had to do a lot of thing secretly…like record something at KAKE while he was not there. Which is kind of hard when he works there.

Somehow we pulled it off. We did have fun with the green screen.

Here's what happens when you let boys in the studio. And no, the meteorologist was recording something for radio, so this was no on TV...as amusing at it might have been.

Can we just take a "regular" picture?

KatKam

I'm glad I kept my old BlackBerry. It came in handy for a school project. Adam had to "invent" something. He decided to invent a KatKam, a handy collar that would tell you where you cat was, and give you a video feed of it's whereabouts. It also had a mood sensor, so you could see what kind of "mood" your cat was in that day.

At the start of the project.

And the finally project. It even comes with an owner's manual.

Disc Golf Playin'

The ice and snow finally melted (we had snow flurries a few days ago), just in time to play a little disc golf on a beautiful spring day.

Hmmm...someone's disc when into the river...

And into the pond.

Selfie! (OK, not a real selfie...because a selfie would only be me).
