April 24 Snow

It's April 24. Spring. Birds are chirping. Flowers are blooming. Out with the heavy coats and hats, in with the flip flops and shorts.

Today...

 

It was only 0.2 inches of snow, but it did break the record for the latest measurable snowfall in Wichita. The previous record was set in 1918.

So. Ready. For. Summer.

Ice in April, then soccer tournament

Snapped these quickly on my two minute commute to work. We had an ice storm on Thursday.

Then down to Tulsa, OK for Adam's soccer tournament.

We had a lightning delay.

Then played under the lights.

Spring in Kansas

It's April 10. Yesterday it was 70 degrees. Today it was 30 degrees with freezing rain.

The first day of spring was March 21. Since then, we had a snowstorm...worn shorts...then turned on our air conditioner...and now this. 

Enough of the funny jokes, Mother Nature, please bring back spring.
