Forget Snow Day -- It's a Wind Day.
A storm through Wichita early Thursday morning.
When I say "blew," I'm talking about 90 mile per hour winds that uprooted trees, bent street signs, downed power lines and destroyed airplane hangers. This wind knocked out power for more than 40,000 residents and closed schools and businesses.
Maize and Wichita closed school because several building didn't have power. So instead of a snow day, it was a wind day.
We didn't get any damage at our house. A street over at our neighborhood park, this happened:
